This is the first of three images of active volcanos. Gunung Bromo standing at (2392 m, 7846 ft.) is flanked by Gunung Batok (2440 m, 8003 ft.) and Gunung Kursi (2581 m, 8466 ft.). Further south is Gunung Semeru (3676 m, 12,057 ft.), the highest mountain in Java. The landscape looks pre-historic, steamy, and volatile.
